Opportunity is knocking

Heart and Soul Juneteenth Celebration

After having a walk for my non-profit, I was asked if our non-profit would be willing to host a booth at another Non-profit’s event. Although I was absolutely exhausted, behind on my personal work and slammed in Every catagory in my life, I said yes. It had been raining for 6 weeks straight in Colorado thanks to El Nino and We were not prepared to host a booth. I needed a waterproof canopy and materials printed to put on our table, my kids needed daycare, I had to work that morning and I was absolutely exhausted. I had been working at one job or another for 22 days straight with no break and I desperately just wanted to take a nap.

Deep down, I could not pass on having exposure for OAA, and celebrating Juneteenth means a lot to me. I pulled every string to make it to this event. I made it to the event at 132pm. The tent was to be set up by 2pm. The Executive Director welcomed us and explained that the Emcee was sick and then asked if I would Emcee. I said ABSOLUTELY. Juneteenth is very important, and the speakers are amazing people.

If I had thought about my personal desires, I wouldn’t have done the Juneteenth event because my body and mind were exhausted. I know you have to pull through for those who pull through for you. From living selflessly, the universe provided an amazing and fulfilling opportunity for me and my family. My 2 girls were able to see their momma introducing powerful people to speak, sing, and perform.

I had an amazing time at the Juneteenth event. Heart and Sol is fueled by powerful, smart, and driven individuals who are seeking equality and change. ❤️
