Retro Log fail

Just because I am a health coach and a personal trainer, doesn’t mean that I go through life perfectly without my own food/exercising struggles!

When I get extremely busy, I have a very bad habit of logging my food after I eat. Many times, I guesstimate what my portion sizes are instead of weighing and measuring my food. I can’t say I don’t know why my progress has stalled- because I do know EXACTLY why my progress has stalled. I have zero idea how many macros or calories I am truly consuming if I am not accurate with weighing/measuring/logging my food intake! If I am off .5 OUNCE of multiple foods throughout the day, this is going to drastically change my dietary intake accuracy. I think it is safe to say, most humans will underestimate their intake rather than overestimate. I realized this week, I have slipped back into this same habit. I can tell I am not being diligent by the stall in my progression forward. I have been desperately working towards getting my back toned since having my two girls back to back which means staying on grind mode.

Two days ago, I had a snack earlier in the day and I realized this morning I did not log this snack! My food log looked halfway decent however, my food log is not accurate. Yesterday, due to being more aware, I stayed on target the entire day. I logged all my food PRIOR to consuming it!

There isn’t a quick fix to losing weight nor maintaining weightloss. Staying in the best shape you are able and looking/feeling your best is a constant ebb/flo of personal investment. I know this and often have to remind myself that consistency = results. No short cuts. All hard work, dedication and time.
